Outlook 2011 for Mac Email Setup

The information that you will need is:

  • Email Address:
  • Account Username:
  • Account Password:
  • POP3 Incoming Mail Server: (mail.yourdomain.xxx)
  • SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: (mail.yourdomain.xxx)

Other Settings

  • Outgoing Mail Server Requires Password Authentication (needs a password to send)
  • Change outgoing SMTP server port from 25 to 366 (some ISPs block port 25)

Setup Directions

  1. Click Tools, and then click Accounts.
  2. Click E-mail Account.
  3. In the E-mail Address field, enter your full email address.
  4. In the Password field, enter your email password.
  5. In the User name field, enter your username.
  6. Select your server type and enter POP or IMAP.
  7. Enter an incoming server port:

    IMAP
    without SSL - 143
    with SSL - 993

    POP3
    without SSL - 110
    with SSL - 995
    NOTE: Click Override default port to change the default port.
  8. Select No SSL to connect.
  9. Select your server type and enter your Outgoing POP or IMAP Server.
  10. Enter an outgoing server port:
    Without SSL -366 
    With SSL - 465
    NOTE: Click Override default port to change the default port.
  11. Select Use SSL to connect if you are using a port with SSL.
  12. Click Add Account.
  13. Click More Options.
  14. From the Authentication menu, select User Name and Password.
  15. In the User name field, enter your username.
  16. In the Password field, enter the password for the email account.
    Click OK.
