The information that you will need is:
- Email Address:
- Account Username:
- Account Password:
- POP3 Incoming Mail Server: (mail.yourdomain.xxx)
- SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: (mail.yourdomain.xxx)
Other Settings
- Outgoing Mail Server Requires Password Authentication (needs a password to send)
- Change outgoing SMTP server port from 25 to 366 (some ISPs block port 25)
Setup Directions
- Open Outlook and go to Tools / Account Settings / Select Email Tab / Select New
- Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP / Click Next
- Check the box at the bottom: Manually configure server settings or additional server types / Click Next
- Select Internet Email / Click Next
- Under User Information: Fill in your full name for Your Name and fill in your E-mail Address from above
- Under Server Information: Select POP3 / Fill in Incoming Mail Server & Outgoing mail server (SMTP) addresses from above. They are the same.
- Under Logon Information: Fill in User Name and Password provided to you and check remember password
- Click More Settings
- Under General: Type whatever you want to use to let you know what account this is
- Under Outgoing Server: Check box: My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select: Use same settings as my incoming mail server
- Under Connection: Don't change anything
- Under Advanced: Leave Incoming server (POP3) at port 110. Change Outgoing server (SMTP) from port 25 to port 366. (We do this to get around ISPs that block port 25). Check box: Leave a copy of messages on server, set it to 5 days and check: Remove from server when deleted from "Deleted Items"
- Click on Ok
- Click Next
- Click Finish
