Randy L. Martin

Randy Martin started R. L. Martin and Associates in August of 1996 specializing in web sites for energy and environmental organizations and companies. Prior to going into business for himself he served as Director of Energy Efficiency Services for the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU).  In this position he created a new home construction program for municipal utilities called Comfort Plus Homes.  He also wrote an Energy Efficient Mortgage Manual for Lenders.  Prior to working for IAMU, he worked for 3 years on residential and transportation efficiency programs for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in the Denver Regional Support Office.  Before moving to Denver in 1992 he worked for the state energy office in Iowa for nine years.  There he ran the Energy Hotline, writing publications and answering all types of energy questions.  He is a 1979 graduate of Iowa State University with a B.A. in Distributed Studies (Architecture, Environmental Studies, and Journalism).

Randy has been married to his high school sweetheart, Kim, for over 35 years.  They have two children, Jonathan whose part of the team and Lindsay who has been a high school science teacher for the past 5 years.  They've lived in many places, but now make their home in Windsor, CO.
